We participate in 4 different leagues at 4 different competitions levels, wrestlers who choose to compete will be placed at a level commensurate with their ability.

Why: Wrestling is one of the fastest growing sports in New Jersey. This program is a terrific option for kids who want to try something new, serious wrestlers looking to take it to the next level and fall/spring athletes who are looking for a way to be active and get in shape during the winter. Wrestling teaches leadership and discipline: 11 U.S. Presidents were former wrestlers. The overwhelming majority of GL wrestlers came through the PAL program.

How Much: The registration fee is $175. Includes t-shirt, uniform and most competitions. There may be additional charges for wrestlers who choose to compete in optional out of town tournaments.

Equipment you will need to provide: wrestling shoes, headgear.

Coaching: If you are interested in joining the staff as an assistant coach please reach out. All coaches will be required to complete a background check.

Special info for 7th/8th graders: The Columbia Middle School wrestler program will continue this year. Coach Ortega and Coach Jazz would like all Middle School wrestlers to participate in PAL again as we will continue in the North Jersey league and do weekend tournaments. Your registration includes the fee for 3 tournaments. The PAL season will start earlier and run longer than the middle school season and will coordinate with your middle school schedule.
