Baseball - Travel
BH PAL Baseball is about Fun, Inclusion and Excellence. The more our kids play and learn about the game, the more enjoyable it can become for them. The PAL strives to include all kids with a desire to play, and we will do everything we can to keep kids playing baseball at a level that they are comfortable. We will consistently push our participants to excel; to be better players and to be better teammates.
The Travel teams are designed for the more competitive players with a desire to compete and develop their skills in the game of baseball.
Full player commitment and parent cooperation is expected through the travel seasons.

SPRING INFORMATION
Spring travel baseball games are played through USABL. Games typically occur on the weekend, with 1-2 practices at the coach’s discretion during the week.
USABL is competitive baseball; however, divisions are formed based upon skill level of each team to ensure a positive experience.
Summer Information
Summer travel baseball is played mainly through the New Providence Green League. While summer baseball is typically perceived as more competitive, the NPGL allows for BH teams to play similar level competition against teams in the surrounding towns/areas.
There are typically 2 games a week played Monday thru Friday. There is a chance a game can be played on the weekend but isn’t typical. Games will run through the end of July.
FALL INFORMATION
Fall baseball is typically less competitive than Summer baseball and focuses on player development.
BH PAL will make as many travel teams as possible based on the number of kids that register, and if volunteers are available to coach.
BH PAL encourages our athletes to participate in multiple sports and recognizes Fall Baseball is traditionally in its offseason. Travel baseball coaches are expected to schedule and work around in-season PAL sports like football and soccer. Practice will be at the coach’s discretion.
Teams will use the same uniform in Fall as Spring/Summer season.
Playing Fall Baseball does not guarantee future placement and will have no impact on Spring/Summer roster. There will be separate tryouts for those seasons.
Cooperstown Information
See link below to reference information specific to the 12u Cooperstown team.
Tryouts
Tryouts are free of charge and are offered every October for Spring Travel and Summer Travel.
All tryouts are conducted by independent evaluators with no connection to the baseball program, travel coaches or parents.
The end goal for tryouts is to ensure all kids who want to play travel baseball have a team to play on. Teams will be formed based on numbers, where appropriate.
Player must be registered and be paid in order to tryout. While our goal is to place all kids on a team, If we are unable to place your child, your full registration fee will be refunded.
When
The Spring season runs from March through June.
The Summer season runs from June through early August.
The Fall season runs from September through October. Fall travel baseball is considered off-season and is typically the most relaxed of the three baseball seasons.

2026 Fall Baseball
Registration for our Heights Fall Baseball is now open!
Our season begins the weekend of September 5th and runs for 7 weeks.
To give everyone flexibility around fall sports schedules, each team's coach will have the option to either:
1. Enter USABL — teams play 9 games (7u–13u), with at least 2 doubleheaders and a guaranteed playoff game for every team. Most games are on Saturdays, but any day of the week is possible based on both teams' availability. Playoffs will most likely begin the weekend of 10/24.
2. Enter 1–2 USABL weekend tournaments and schedule non-league games against local towns.
Practice will be at each coach's discretion.
For Fall '26, USABL will have most teams playing at their Spring '27 rules. The one exception is 7u, who will continue to play 7u rules this fall. Every other age group plays up — if you're 8u for Spring '26, you'll play the fall at your 9u rules, and so on — though you'll still face other teams of the same age.
Team formation depends on signup numbers, and teams will be announced as soon as possible after signups close.
Registration closes Tuesday, August 4th at midnight.
