Cheerleading

Berkeley Heights PAL Cheerleading is open to Berkeley Heights and Mountainside students.

We cheer for the Jr. Highlander PAL football teams.

Grades 3 - 8

Teams will be formed based on age level and skill. 

Season runs from August thru mid-November, depending on how far the football teams advance in the playoffs.

Registration will open June 1st and close July 30th.

Games will be on Sundays (some Saturday games may be scheduled)

The schedule for Sunday games (when and where each team will cheer) will be determined when the weekly football schedule is confirmed and is subject to change on a weekly basis.

Preseason practice will begin August 17th. We will run preseason warmup practice session August 17-19 and August 24-26. Once school starts practice will be Wednesday nights 5:30-7. Practice is mandatory. All practices will be held at Lower Columbia under the pavilion.

The registration fee includes:

• Uniform
• Poms
• Bow
• Practice t-shirt
• Sweatshirt
• Stunt clinic

Cheerleaders are responsible for other misc items (shoes, socks, and shorts.) 

Links/directions for purchasing all misc items will be provided beginning in early August. 

This is considered a travel sport and all participants will be expected to attend away games.
