Softball - In-Town
The BH PAL sponsors recreational softball during the Spring season.
This program is open to all girls interested in softball, regardless of experience. There are no tryouts and all players that sign-up will be rostered to a team.
All 8U and 10U Heights Heat Travel players are strongly encouraged to participate.
Ages
Kindergarten - 5th grade girls
When
The season will run approximately from mid-April to early-June
Games/Practices
All games will be played on weeknights (1-2 per week), and do not conflict with travel softball. Practices to be scheduled at the coaches' discretion.
League
Teams from Berkeley Heights will play surrounding towns in one of two leagues, depending on grade.
The Mountainside Rec League hosts two age groups:
- 4th - 5th
- 2nd - 3rd
The Parkway First Pitch League hosts one age group, and aims to introduce real softball to our youngest players in a fun, relaxed way.
- Kindergarten - 1st
Equipment
A uniform shirt is included with your registration.
Individual player equipment is to be purchased separately as needed.
Necessary equipment:
- Glove
- Fielding Mask
- Softball Bat
- Helmet

2026 IN-TOWN SOFTBALL
REGISTRATION FOR 2026 IN-TOWN SOFTBALL IS CURRENTLY OPEN!
The cost of the program is $165. The program fee covers league fees, umpires, team equipment, and a uniform shirt.
Individual player equipment is to be purchased separately as needed.
The registration deadline is March 1st.
Please ensure your child is registered and paid on time so we can plan accordingly.
