Softball - Travel
Travel Softball teams play in Spring, Summer and Fall. Teams are formed on player tryouts and typically play surrounding towns, including tournaments.

Ages
Per USA Softball Rules, age is determined by the players age on 8/31/2025
- 8U (8 and under)
- 10U (10 and under)
- 12U (12 and under)
- 14U (14 and under)
- 16U (16 and under)
When
Winter Training starts in mid-February.
Spring season starts in April.
Summer season starts in June and continues through late July.
Fall season begins in September.
Tryouts
Tryouts are held before the Spring season for each age group and are conducted by independent coaching staff. They consist of evaluation of speed, hitting, fielding, arm-strength, pitching and catching.
Spring 2026 tryouts will be held on Saturday, February 21st from 12:30 - 2:30pm.
Placement on a team is NOT guaranteed; however, we will make every effort to place everyone.
Spring Information
We participate in the Spring D2 Parkway League. Opening Day games are 03/29/26.
Tryouts are held to form teams for the spring at each level - 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U.
Included with your spring registration is indoor winter training for every team, beginning in February.

Games & Practices
There are 2 games per week - typically Sunday double-headers, but the league is flexible. 10 regular season games, + playoffs.
Practices (1-2 per week) will be scheduled at coaches discretion.
Teams will participate in at least 1 local tournament.
Summer Information
We participate in the Summer D2 Parkway League [8U, 10U, 12U and 14U]
Spring Teams will remain intact with adjustments being made for any vacancies from non-returning travel players or new players registrations.

Games are played during the week (1-2 games)
10 regular season games, plus playoffs
Practice (1-2 practices a week) will be scheduled by coaches at their discretion.
Teams will participate in at least 1 tournament.
FALL INFORMATION
Summer Teams will remain intact with adjustments being made for any vacancies from non-returning travel players or new player registrations.
The fall season is typically 7-8 weeks long, beginning in early September
Games & Practices
There are usually 1-2 games per week, scheduling is flexible. Practices are scheduled by coaches and held at their discretion.
Teams are encouraged to participate in at least 1 tournament.
PAL encourages our athletes to participate in multiple sports and recognizes Fall Softball is traditionally in its off-season. Travel softball coaches are expected to schedule and work around in-season PAL sports like soccer and field hockey.
Fall Softball is typically less competitive than Summer Softball and focuses on player development.
2026 SPRING TRAVEL SOFTBALL
Registration for the 2026 season is now OPEN!
The cost of the program is $275.00. The program fee covers league and tournament fees, umpires, team equipment, winter-training, etc.
Uniforms and individual player equipment are purchased separately as needed.
Registration deadline is February 14th, 2026.
Tryouts will be held on Saturday, February 21st from 12:30-2:30pm.
Please ensure your child is registered and paid on time so we can plan accordingly.
