Youth Outdoor Track and Field Program

Our training program is limited in size due to coaching availability, however, we try to accommodate as many children as possible.


(First come, first serve - In-town residents are given priority)

Must be age 7 to 15 to register

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Berkeley Heights PAL Running Program offers high-quality training and introduces a competitive program designed to develop confidence, technique, racing skills and fitness. Boys and girls ages 7 to 14 (15 if in 8th grade) will be coached by a USATF certified Coach. All children will be eligible to participate in USATF & potential AAU sponsored events as well. Training emphasis will include – Speed, Strength, Endurance, Running Mechanics, Flexibility, & Agility. Training groups are set based on ability after evaluation. Each gender competes in their age groups according to USATF and AAU guidelines.


All runners must be 7 through 15 years of age in the 2024 calendar year


Our Wolfpack spring track season begins March 26th.

6:00 pm - 7:00 pm (subject to change)


Meets on Sundays 12 - 5 pm

Travel required


Team jerseys are required and made available for purchase through our Wolfpack Teamstore.

Extra Costs

All runners are responsible for their own gear including running sneakers, spikes, reflective vests & headlamps (when applicable) and appropriate attire for warm and cold weather/rain or shine throughout the season.

STEP #1: Register with the Berkeley Heights PAL

STEP #2 (Required): USATF - Online Membership Registration - Application Annual Membership (Membership runs January to December) . Attach Birth Certificate on USATF Web athlete Profile. CLUB NUMBER: 07-1089 WolfPack Track Club.


UNIFORMS: A link to the WolfPack team store will be sent via e-mail to all registrants. Uniform orders for purchase will be online: singlet/shorts are required and warm-ups are optional.

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS: All boys and girls will need a good pair of running shoes, water bottles, warm-ups, windbreaker, dri-fit shirts and shorts hats and gloves. Racing spike shoes are optional for meets only but not required. Please have a backpack to keep personal items contained.

How do I register?

Creating an account on our PAL website is the first step. Once you have your account you will receive up to date information on how and when to register. Information for spring registration is usually sent in February; and in early August for Cross Country.
